Lammers' work, both on tape and with the state's legislature, led to landmark legislation to protect archeological discoveries. Wayne has always been an active member of his community. He has been a guest speaker at a host of state, regional and local organizations. He has been President of the Boonslick Historical Society and on the board of directors for the Missouri River Heritage Corridor WWW Project (formerly the Missouri River Heritage Corridor Foundation).
Lammers has won Regional and Statewide respect for his sensitive ability to capture special events such as weddings and family reunions. He even takes old pictures, slides and films, then designs and produces 'electronic albums', transferring those family artifacts to videotape. A man with a quiet sense of community service, Wayne has sat on the board of the Boonville Area Chamber of Commerce, was appointed to the Missouri Dept. of Agriculture's Task Force on Rural Economic Development and appointed and then reelected to the Boonville City Council.
